## Description

**Numbers and arithmetic operations**

We will learn how to work with numbers and solve examples at the snap of our fingers: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compare. We will also learn about fractions.

Example Topics:

– Comparing numbers, signs for “less,” “more,” and “equal.”

– Adding and subtracting single and two-digit numbers.

– Operations with three-digit numbers.

– Multiplication and division.

– Order of operations in examples.

– Multiplication and division in columns.

* Geometric shapes*We will get acquainted with the basics of geometry and remember what shapes are like and how they differ. We will also learn how to solve geometric problems, draw pictures according to their conditions and understand the first important terms.

Sample topics:

– Geometric shapes.

– Construction of shapes: a ray, a segment, a line, a triangle, a circle, etc.

– Angles and their types.

– The concept of symmetry and symmetrical figures.

*Values and the relationship between them*

We will learn what geometric quantities and units of measurement are. And then we will learn how to convert them from one system to another, perform arithmetic operations and solve problems with quantities.

Examples of topics:

– Mass: g, kg.

– Length: mm, cm, dm, m, km.

– Area: mm2, cm2, dm2, m2, km2.

– Volume: mm3, cm3, dm3, m3, km3.

– Time: s, min, h.

– Translation of units of measurement.

– Adding and subtracting units of measurement.

**Algebraic concepts**

We’ll break down the properties of mathematical operations and learn how to solve first equations and inequalities.

Example topics:

– Properties of addition.

– Properties of multiplication.

– Inequalities.

– Simple equations.

* Text Exercises*We’ll tell you how to solve even the most complicated problems by finding all the important data and making a diagram. We will also learn what formulas are and how to memorize them without having to memorize them.

Sample topics:

– Part problems.

– Motion problems (path, speed, time, simultaneous motion).

– Work problems (amount of work done, productivity, time).

– Zadachas on the cost and quantity of goods.

– Tasks on percentages.

**Working with information and analyzing data**

Introduce you to different kinds of representations of information and learn how to process data in a way that makes it easier to make sense of it.

Examples of topics:

– Graphs.

– Tables.

– Charts (pie charts, bar charts, line charts).
